Q: What sets you apart from other videographers?

A: I bring a different perspective to wedding films. I come from a communications and photography background, so I have an appreciation for the unique differences those mediums offer. I also happen to be female, which is still somewhat rare for wedding filmmakers. This influences how I approach couples, my film style, and my editing choices.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: This is a hard one. Every couple inspires me and brings out something different in me. The things that remain true across the board? I create warm, candid, cinematic short films that gravitate towards capturing natural light and intimate emotion. I love the unscripted, vulnerable moments. I steer away from heavy posing and staging, but I may jump in once or twice to ask you to repeat a certain movement.

Q: How much should I invest in my wedding film?

A: This is completely dependent upon the couple, which collection best fits your timeline, your budget, and ultimately how much you value documenting your day in this format. You can find each collection here and a la carte items are listed below. Please feel free to reach out if you've got a unique timeline to customize your collection.

Q: What is raw footage?

A: Raw footage is the unedited, rough version of everything I shot to make your final film. This footage may contain repetitive movements, is not color graded, and does not contain audio. I drop everything into one timeline, loop in ambient music, and deliver a file that is anywhere between 4-8 hours long, depending on your hourly coverage. This is perfect for the couple interested in being able to relive their big day in its entirety.

Q: What is included in the full vows and toasts film?

A: While all collections include two films (a 1 minute highlight and a cinematic film), the full vows and toasts film is a separate film available with the Jade or Emerald Collection. The film is an uncut version of the speeches or toasts made by your friends and family and will include uncut footage and audio from your exchanging of vows. This is filmed documentary-style with single camera and tripod.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: Yes, of course! Occasionally a venue may request proof of a vendors' insurance policy. Let me know if this is the case and I'd be happy to send over my certificate of insurance.

Q: How many videographers will be at our wedding?

A: I am a solo wedding videographer. On my end, this takes more diligence and preparation. However, it ultimately allows me to have complete control over each shot, enabling me to deliver a higher quality film that truly represents your big day.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: The tools I use to tell your story are constantly evolving. However, I currently shoot with a Canon 1D X Mark II, a Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 85mm f/1.4L lens, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens, Sigma 135mm f/1.8 lens, Sigma 20mm f/1.4 lens, Rode VideoMic Pro, Tascam lavalier mics, the DJI Ronin-S, DJI Mavic Air, and Lowel pro-lights.

Q: How do you remain unobtrusive?

A: I have a conversation with each couple about their comfortability and tailor my presence and equipment to meet that standard, without my needing to be front and center. For most collections, I will set up a tripod and second camera during the ceremony to capture your vows (space permitting).

Q: Can we choose the music?

A: Unfortunately, music licenses often prevent this. However, I love working with couples to get a sense of their style and taste to make sure their entire film, music included, speaks to that. Finding the perfect song for your wedding film is my favorite part of the editing process.

Q: How long does it take to receive our film?

A: It typically takes 4-6 weeks of editing to deliver your film. The actual time may vary based on the season, but you'll never wait more than 6 weeks.

Q: What about travel fees?

A: Travel fees only apply to weddings located outside a 50 mile radius of Baltimore city. Fees suck. I keep it simple and use the IRS' standard mileage rates. For elopements and destination weddings, I'm happy to provide discounted travel fees. Don't hesitate to reach out and we can tailor the collection to perfectly fit your big day.

Q: How do I officially reserve my wedding date?

A: Reach out to me to confirm availability for your wedding date and once I receive your signed Agreement and the retainer, you’re all set!
